The  Koreas
The divided land.

The main fact of the Koreas is that they are divided into two countries, this countries are Noth korea and South Korea. North and South Korea are divided by long fences that blocks people and anything to travel to the othe country, this place is called the Demilitarized Zone(DMZ), where no weapons or armies are allowed. Although they are divided, that doesn't mean that they are on war, but they have problems that they have to solve. If a war ever occurs south korea plans to go away of the area because north korea isnt pacive like them. Sometimes, the Koreas unite to help each other, but some years ago, South Korea discovered some underground tunnels that North Koreans had built to spy what South Koreans did. Even though North and South korea  have improve their relationships,  like helping themselves of economic troubles.

North korea is a comunist country, which is a country in which the goverment owns and manages everithing in the country, peole are not allowd to vote, and things cannot come from the exterior, but still North Korea has lots of mineral resources, but it still has to diversify its economy. South korean economy and tegnology are better than North Korean.

At 1900, South Korea had lots of agricultural resources and 50 years later it become a freat economic power. But at that time South Korea had few industrial resources. After World War 2 South Korea start focusing on industry.

South Korea:

  • South Korea is one of the fastest growing centers in the world. South Korea builds ships and have a lot of technology, it also has many factories and industries.

Even though South Korea has many goods and jobs, it lacks natural resources. To keep industries growing, a lot of money is spent for buying oil, iron, steel, and other chemicals.

Although by the succes of south korea, it MUST import their resourses in big amounts to keep their industry running. The main import are oil, iron, steel, and chemicals, and now living has come very expensive.
